Welcome to the Western Colorado Math & Science Center, a hands-on exploratorium in Grand Junction for teachers and kids on the Western Slope.

We are a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Regional Center

The Western Colorado Math and Science Center has been selected by Governor Ritter of Colorado as a regional Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Regional Compact Center. There are five regional STEM Centers throughout Colorado that will significantly help math and science K-12 education. Read more!

Volunteers and mentors are an important part of our center. Please call us or stop by if you'd like to help!

Funding for the Center is carried out through tax-deductible donations from individuals, companies, service clubs, foundations, and groups. Mesa County Valley School District 51 donates the building space. All funds go toward the Center’s operation including the Riverview Science Parke

PassionariesJohn McConnell, founder of the center, is one of 35 "Passionaries" featured in a new book by Barbara Metzler. He's been in the news in other stories, too.
